The Hummingbird and the Forest Fire is a story told by Wangari Muta Maathai.

I illustrated this story for a limited print run given to volunteers from The Hummingbird Project, a Brighton based charity who work with refugees from many different parts of the world.

The design of the Hummingbird is taken from a gift given to me by the very talented pyrographer Jes Hooper.
